Hi! I'm Emily — writer and full-time freelancer.

Five years ago, I decided to master my finances so I could finally gain the freedom to work anytime, from anywhere.

 

Working as a freelance writer and business owner allows me and my family to chase our adventures, take long trips, and spend a lot of time together (thankfully, we really like each other!).

My goal with The Freelancer's Budget site is not to tell you how I turned a few contractor gigs into a six-figure business that continues to grow. No. It's about how I built a six-figure business and still felt the pain of a tight budget. Because no matter how much you make, without the right plan, you'll never feel true freedom.
